Schools are supposed to be bully free zones. Parents should not have to worry about what happens when their children go to school other than their education. However, that is not always the case. 1 in 4 students will face bullying at some point in the school system.
Well, this mom decided she couldn’t just sit back and watch what was happening to her son. This whole ordeal had occurred after the school decided that the best action to stop the bullying was to separate her son from the other students as well as have a teacher follow him at all times.
According to the mother, when her son reported the bullying, he was told to “ignore it.”
No parent would want to sit back and watch their children be bullied, so this mom took action. She walked into her son’s high school on May 17th and began verbally berating her son’s 3rd grade class as well as the teacher for allowing this all to take place.
However, she was soon arrested for trespassing as well as non-student interfering. Greenville County Schools District spokeswoman Elizabeth Brotherton said, “It is never OK to confront other people’s children and to use foul language with them and threatening language with them.”
While the mother acknowledges that she was in the wrong for trespassing into the school, she still stands behind her actions as her son’s supporter as she shared the facebook post above.
