We all remember the classic moment from Superbad: Fogel attempting to buy booze at a liquor store. His prepubescent voice cracks as he attempts to make awful small talk about hops and beer until his moment of truth. He shows the cashier his iconic McLovin fake ID before getting decked in the face by a robber. The fake ID is a teenage rite of passage that has been done many times before (probably minus the getting knocked out part) but it wasn’t until now that a person has been arrested for having an actual McLovin fake ID at a bar.
The Iowa City Press-Citizen reported that police arrested 20-year-old Daniel Alfredo Burleson, after he was questioned by a police officer at a bar in Iowa. When asked about his ID, Burleson produced the infamous McLovin fake ID which he said he purchased on Amazon.
Surely enough, Seth Rogen, who wrote and starred in Superbad, heard about Burleson’s story on Twitter and had to celebrate it with a tweet.

Unfortunately for the young man, he was charged with public intoxication, possession of a fake ID, and possession of alcohol while underage. Whether or not Rogen plans on paying Burleson’s legal fees is unsure but from the look of his mugshot, Burelson looks like he couldn’t be prouder. Take it easy, McLovin.
