The latest blockbuster video game is not a Call of Duty title. In fact, there are no guns, bad guys, explosions, fast cars, or even a health bar. It’s called “Untitled Goose Game” and it allows you to live out the chaotic-evil fantasy you never knew you wanted; terrorizing people as nature’s demon, an annoying goose.
Originally spawned as a joke from a Slack channel three years ago, Goose Game is the surprise hit from four friends at Melbourne studio, House House. The objective is simple; bother mild-mannered townsfolk in the English countryside as an avian fiend. Tasks include making the groundskeeper hammer his thumb, throwing a rake into a lake, and honking really loud into people’s ears.
As one could expect, Twitter and YouTube had a field day with memes, play throughs, and even this very clever fake trailer featuring music from Lizzo.
Did I cut a trailer for @house_house_'s Untitled Goose Game using @lizzo's "Juice" simply because she says, "Blame it on a goose?"

The game, released on September 20 is available on PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch, quickly jumped to number two on Nintendo’s eSports charts.
Maybe the triple A video game publishers have it all wrong and people don’t always want guns, gore, and explosions. Maybe all we want to do after a long day at work is to settle on the couch, fire up the Switch, be a goose, and throw some guy’s sandwich into a lake.
